On the way down!

I got on the scale this morning and was surprised to see my weight is down by 4 pounds! Wooohoooo!

All of my effort in exercise and choosing better foods is paying off. Only 26 more to go! :)

Mexican Deep-Dish Pan Pizza | Rachael Ray Show

Mexican Deep-Dish Pan Pizza Rachael Ray Show

Feeling good today!

I got up and did my 20 minutes on the treadmill this morning. Then I did Denise Austin's show. We worked abs today and I feel great! I love when she does abs. I always get that "runner's high" from a good workout.

I hopped on the scale today too (even though I vowed only to weigh on Mondays). I haven't lost any weight since last week but I haven't gained either. I am happy with that, although I would be happier if it had gone down even half a pound. LOL

So two pounds down, but more importantly I can see things going back up and getting flatter. :)

How is everyone else feeling today? Ruthie?

Another update!

First off, WELCOME BACK Jodi! it's good to see that I'm not posting alone any longer.

Since starting the Biggest Loser challenge at my gym, I lost 6 lbs and 9 inches between September 15 and October 15. This was done with a combination of the following: Tennis, Softball, walking, and weight training. The challenge ends on November 15, so I'm going to keep on working to lose.

Now that softball season is over, and it's going to be too cold to play tennis much longer, I'm going to have to find other ways to keep my body "shocked" into weight loss. Remember--when your routine grows old, your body stops working hard. I've heard that jumping rope is an AWESOME way to lose weight. Has anyone else heard that?

Last night, my favorite aerobics instructor taught a "self-esteem" class which was similar to the "stripper" classes that are so popular. It was alot of fun--and a great change from the much dreaded eliptical. I much prefer to walk the streets of my neighborhood instead of going to the gym, but since it gets so dark now, and the temps are cooler, I'll be working out indoors more frequently again.

How's everyone else doing?

Cyclic Action

I am back on the bandwagon after a 5 month hiatus. My shoulder pain seemed to get worse and worse and so I quit for fear that I was making it worse doing aerobics every morning. Then in June we ditched our dish t.v. and I lost Denise Austin. Last month I had it turned back on after I stepped on the scale and realized I had gained 20 pounds in those five months. I knew I was getting bigger, I just didn't think it was that bad.

So now I am seeing a PT for my shoulder and I am back at exercising. I am doing 15-20 minutes on my treadmill and then I do Denise Austin's Fit and Lite show every morning. After two weeks of this I am down 1 pound. Not a staggering amont but I will take what I can get.

The only bad thing is I am seriously craving junk food since I started. I haven't been limiting what I have been eating (although I have been trying to make some healthier choices when I shop) but I am always craving Taco John's, Pizza Hut, KFC, etc.

Onward and upward!

Is anyone else still around and exercising?
